I really can't see them dropping the blood doctrine, ever. Can you just imagine the massive lawsuits? The fallout would be tremendous. Probably even a revolution. On the other hand, what may happen is that the blood doctrine may be dropped slowly, slowly, bit by bit until it is gone without any kind of fallout. Kind of in a subtle way.

I'm sure that where it says in Acts is that consumption of blood refers to ingesting/eating it. Don't quote me here, but I think the first transfusion attempt was not up until within the last hundred years or so, and a failing attempt too.

when i was 13 i can remember a elder in my cong cornering me in the hall and asking me in specfic detail where i got undressed?
not content with being fobbed off with "in my home" he wanted to know what room, did i ever use the bathroom?

OMG, those 2 experiences are probably the most creepy things i've ever heard of from people in the JWS

yeah, that sentiment always rubs me the wrong way after some kind of disaster. I mean, what about the thousands, if not millions of other people who have been devastated.

a few months ago i had a part in the service meeting about evolution.
it was based on the reasoning book's entire section on the topic.
my conscience bothered me because it was the scientific method and science in general that led me to doubt my beliefs in the first place.
